STAFF AND SERVICE

With a full crew complement of 325, the m/s Seven Seas Navigator boasts a ratio of 1 crew member to every 1.5 guests, offering an extremely high level of personalized, attentive service. Our European officers provide the highest standards of marine experience while our Hotel staff caters to your needs 24 hours a day.

It is said that the best service is the kind you aren't aware of, because you never need to ask for it. Service aboard the Seven Seas Navigator is happily unobtrusive, but very much in evidence in every detail of your stay aboard. In the Master, Grand Suites, Navigator and Penthouse A & B suites, private butler service is available 24 hours a day. All our suites are the perfect venue for hosting an intimate cocktail party, or for a larger function, you may select one of our public rooms. Our European officers and staff are discretely observant of your personal needs and preferences. A cozy bathrobe awaits you after your shower. A fresh towel is always nearby when you choose to swim in the pool. The bartender remembers your favorite drink. The concierge staff knows where to find the best restaurant in town - and can even recommend that unique crafts shop where you can stock up on unusual gifts and remembrances of your travel experience for friends back home. Maybe it's the space. Maybe it's the service. But the style of the Navigator is as individual as a signature - and uniquely satisfying.

Creating a great dining establishment is no simple task. First, it takes the imagination and creativity of an inspired chef. Add to this a serene setting elegantly designed to welcome diners with an ambience of taste and comfort. And finally, it requires the perseverance, knowledge and tender loving care of a maitre d' and staff who are totally committed to offering only the best to their appreciative clientele.

Aboard the Seven Seas Navigator, you will find two such establishments: The Compass Rose Restaurant and Portofino Grill. Our designers and executive chef have meticulously assembled all the essential elements for a superb dining experience. But not content to follow formulas, and being intrepid culinary explorers at heart, they've added a dash of sophisticated fun and more than a soupcon of imagination to create a new recipe for gustatory discoveries.

In the elegant Compass Rose Restaurant, thickly napped carpet and glossy marble pattern the floors. Fresh flowers grace tables set with fine linen, crystal and silver. There's a feeling of elegant ease that befits the presentation of signature selections created by our European master chef. Naturally, we wouldn't think of hurrying you through such a rare experience, nor would we presume to choose your tablemates, so open, single seating dining is always our policy on all Radisson Seven Seas Cruises vessels. The Seven Seas Navigator was created in glorious Italy, a country noted for its warmth, its artistic style and distinctive cuisines. So it is appropriate that our alternative restaurant is named after one of the most enchanted villages of Italy's Ligurian coast. In the Portofino Grill, you will find the freshest of ingredients combined in delicately accented selections which change each night. Our chef has created uniquely appealing menus that range from the subtle flavors of Parma, Tuscany and Piedmont to succulent seafoods of Genoa and the olive oil and garlic-scented pastas of Napoli. Every evening, in both the Compass Rose Restaurant and the Portofino Grill, a selection of complimentary wines of the world is poured at your table. For those with a taste for rare vintages, our experienced, professional sommelier is available for consultation should you wish to purchase premium wines from our cellar.

With so many delicious choices so close at hand, it's no wonder that our guests frequent our restaurants with happy gusto, even while the ship is in port. However, if you wish to savor the pleasures of the table privately 'en suite', 24-hour room service is available with featured entrees from the chef offered during regular dining hours and a select menu at other times.
